Specialized instrument to refract a patient to determine if he or she is nearsighted, farsighted or 20/20.

Cytology and Scrapings

Microscopic examination of aspirated or surface cells.

Biopsy

Removal of part or all of a mass for detailed analysis by a pathologist.

Serology

Screening preoperative bloodwork or bloodwork to identify specific infectious agents.
